Dino Litourgis

Mr. Litourgis is a Trial Attorney who represents hospitals, physicians, and other health care professionals and providers. Mr. Litourgis primarily focuses on preparing his cases for trial. This includes preparing clients and expert witnesses to testify at trial. Mr. Litourgis is also involved in various aspects of the pre-trial process, such as, conducting depositions of adverse parties, reviewing and analyzing medical records, and engaging in motion practice.
Prior to joining Benvenuto & Gaujean, Mr. Litourgis spent several years honing his trial acumen as an Assistant District Attorney in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office. After successfully prosecuting a wide array of felony cases, Mr. Litourgis was promoted to the Career Criminals & Major Crimes Bureau. There, Mr. Litourgis oversaw the prosecution of some of the most significant cases in Queens County, including homicides, police-involved shootings, and attempted murders.
As a trial attorney, Mr. Litourgis secured multiple convictions in high-profile cases. These include the conviction of a Russian fugitive who had been accused of attempting to kill her lookalike in an identity-theft plot. The trial received national and international media attention, and was covered extensively by the CBS true-crime series “48 Hours.”
Mr. Litourgis is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law. As a student, Mr. Litourgis was a member of the St. John’s Law Review and graduated with cum laude honors. Mr. Litourgis was also an esteemed member of the Polestino Trial Advocacy Institute. As an alumnus, Mr. Litourgis routinely coaches mock trial students and gives lectures on various trial advocacy topics.
