Ms. Portera is a Senior Associate attorney with extensive experience representing physicians, chiropractors, podiatrists, medical groups, long term care facilities and other healthcare entities in all aspects of pre-trial discovery. She has assisted in the publication of numerous articles regarding out of state disclosure, depositions, informed consent, trial surprises, and the discoverability and admissibility of social media.

Ms. Portera graduated cum laude with dual degrees in Economics and Political Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo (1993). She received her law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law (1996). Before joining the Law Offices of Benvenuto & Gaujean in February 2021, Ms. Portera has worked exclusively for firms defending matters involving general liability, toxic torts, medical malpractice, and professional negligence. Ms. Portera is an admitted attorney in New York State.
