For over 30 years, Mr. Nasta has defended physicians, hospitals and other health care providers in malpractice lawsuits. Although he has handled all aspects of the litigation process, his practice focuses on the trial of these cases. Mr. Nasta has tried cases in all the boroughs of New York City, as well as Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties. In addition to trying cases, Mr. Nasta prepares cases for trial. This includes preparing clients to testify at trial; retaining and meeting with expert witnesses, and subsequently preparing expert witnesses to testify at trial.

Mr. Nasta is also involved in all aspects of the pre-trial process, including preparation of the initial pleadings, conducting deposition of adverse parties, preparing clients for and representing clients at depositions, and obtaining, reviewing and analyzing relevant medical records. Mr. Nasta engages in motion practice as needed, and on numerous occasions he has obtained dismissals of cases after preparing and submitting to the court complex motions seeking summary judgment.

Mr. Nasta is a 1986 graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a 1989 graduate of Fordham University Law School. He is admitted in all courts of the State of New York as well as in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He has been at the Law Offices of Benvenuto & Gaujean since 2004.
