DISMISSAL OF INFECTIOUS DISEASE PHYSICIAN

Ginette M. Portera obtained a voluntary dismissal on behalf of an infectious disease physician in Westchester County in February of 2023. The matter involved the alleged failure to timely and properly diagnose the developments or incubation of an MSSA infection, resulting in MSSA bacteremia with spinal infection secondary to postoperative wound infection, postoperative abscess, PICC-line IV insertion with prolonged regimen of antibiotics in a then 46-year-old male.
