SUMMARY JUDGMENT FOR INTERNIST

Summary judgment was obtained by Julio Vasquez, Esq., in a 2019 Kings County case involving a purported failure on the part of an internist/geriatrician of a physical therapy/rehabilitation facility to determine the causes of the 74 year old female’s renal, respiratory and cardiac conditions. Specific allegations included the failure to timely manage and treat the patient and place a transfer order when she became responsive, ultimately resulting in her death. Justice Genine D. Edwards granted defendant’s motion for summary judgment dismissing all claims against our defendant in a Decision and Order dated September 20, 2024.
