DISMISSAL OF EMERGENCY MEDICINE PHYSICIANS

Following the filing of a summary judgment motion filed in the Bronx on behalf of two emergency medicine physicians, Ginette M. Portera secured their discontinuance from the case in July of 2022. The matter involved claims by a then-32-year-old male that his right hand/wrist injury, sustained during a fight while incarcerated, was improperly treated such that he developed delayed healing leading to osteoarthritis, bony destruction, and the necessity of surgery.
