DISCONTINUANCE OF CASE IN FAVOR OF MEDICAL ATTENDING

In August, 2024, attorney Lloyd B. Cohen secured a stipulation of discontinuance with prejudice, without contributing to a settlement, on behalf of a physician who served as the patient’s attending physician at a nursing home.  In this Westchester County case, the physician faced allegations of negligently ordering Haldol over a prolonged period of time, and failing to monitor kidney function in a then 87-year-old female.  It was claimed that the patient sustained numerous injuries including damage to the kidney and death.
